Introducing our new web store!

August 25, 2009

Pimpernel has been a little quiet these last few weeks, and now we can reveal why. We’ve just launched our own store!

Ever think sartorial elegance just isn’t what it used to be? We did, so we set up Pimpernel Clothing to design and create clothing and accessories inspired by the beauty and quality of craftsmanship of period garments. (Because, after all, fashions may come and go, but true style never dates.) Our aim is to re-introduce the elegance and fun that existed in clothing and accessories 200 years ago, and which we’ve rescued from the fashion guillotine.

At the moment, we’re selling two kinds of waistcoat- the Libertine and the Duellist, which are made by hand to order in our studio in England. We’re also thrilled to be able to offer fascinating playing cards which are facsimiles of period originals. Other products, including leather wallets / pocket books modelled on original period examples, are coming soon. So stay tuned 🙂

We’ll be posting more about the store and our garments very soon, but for now, we’d be honoured if you’d care to peruse the store.
